Position Summary:
This individual will be responsible for setting and maintaining the standard of service and hospitality that immediately signals to customers our commitment to providing a world-class experience.
Responsibilities:
(Greeter will be mobile and able to provide many functions) - Offer warm and sincere acknowledgement of each customer who enters the café
- Act as a “tour guide” for obvious first-time customers, particularly in newly renovated cafes
- Effectively address customer concerns
- Work the Baker’s Table (merchandising, sampling, selling)
- Sample products throughout the day (rotating samples)
- Maintain Bakery Metros (everyone is a merchandiser)
- Proactively notify management of any café needs (i.e. restocking, spills, trash, customer concerns/complaints)
- Ensures that gloves are worn at all times when handling food.
- Maintaining stock levels in café (lids, cups, bags, etc.)
- Spot cleaning glass doors, windows, plexi, sweeping
- Participate in café one-minute meetings
- Work with others as a team to support ABP cafe operations, standards and concept essence.
- Be flexible and possess the ability to deal with changes, difficult customers and emergencies/problems in the cafe.
- Other duties and special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Possess an inherently outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Have an extensive knowledge of the products to promote and up-sell to customers
- Able to multi-task (cross training)
